Turbo -- ~10-week-old male black Lab 17 lbs Not yet neutered
Background: This little spitfire was recently dumped at a Stockton gas station one afternoon. 105 degrees outside. One hot pitstop. No worries -- a good Samaritan AAA human scooped up this little turbocharged pup and radioed ahead to us before another lap went by.
What Turbo's Foster Says: Turbo is hitting on all cylinders. A high-octane pup who gladly crashes into a dog bed after some major high speed turns around my living room. Turbo has a little demolition derby spirit in him as he will chew on most anything including your shoes, feet, towels, socks, etc. No fear on the racetrack in this guy as he takes on foster dog Muffin and foster dog Blackjack and my own 95-lb Lab Diesel. He powers down nicely when everyone else drops into pit row, and snoozes in a crate in the x-pen in my dining room with Muffin close by. A lovely appetite -- refuels quickly. He does have loud horn when he wants your attention. Turbo has a habit of kicking over his water bowl and splashing around in resulting the wet mess. Working on potty training -- still early in the process.
What Turbo's Rescue Rep Says:Buckle that seatbelt! This hot rod hound dog will take you for a wild ride. He will require both of your hands on the steering wheel as he learns his way around the track. Will need an active adopter with spirit, understanding and a steady sense of driving on the right side of the road. No illegal side-shows, please.
We want Turbo to go to a home where the people are around a lot. Would be fine in a home with another (adult) dog and children. Adopting a young puppy is much like having a newborn baby in the home: very demanding for care and attention. Young puppies quickly grow up and become big rowdy juveniles that need lots of exercise and structure and patience from their humans.

Medical: Vroom, vroom. Low mileage on this one and he's got one strong engine -- no burning oil here. Just received his first distemper vax and tire rotation; will need two more puppy vaccinations before he is given the green light to zip around city streets and sidewalks. Turbo will be confined to the dirt track in your backyard for another six weeks or so.
