New foster needed for ~10-year-old female yellow Lab "Becky"

Background: Becky is one of a large number of purebred Labs recently removed from a home in the central valley.  We got her into a foster home in Aptos, but the home has several steps into the home which Becky is finding difficult to navigate -- her back legs are just so week.  So we need a new foster home that has no steps or stairs going into the home and down the back yard.

What Becky's Rescue Rep Says: Becky is just the sweetest pup.  A very easy foster.  She gets along fine with other dogs.  No idea how she is with cats; but I suspect she couldn't care less.  Slow easy short neighborhood walks would be the max exercise she would need.  Lots of rest and relaxation, good nutrition, and human TLC is in order for them.

Medical: We think Becky is already spayed due to presence of possible spay scar. She is recovering from an ear infection, on a 14-day antibiotic regimen. Heartworm negative, microchipped, and on a flea/tick preventive. Current on Rabies vax; she needs a distemper vax booster in a few weeks.

Located In: Aptos.

If you can foster Becky, please contact Rescue Rep Dave at david.c.ely@sbcglobal.net.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
