Video: Meet Johnny Bravo

Johnny Bravo 10-year-old, male Black Lab, not neutered

Background: This senior guy was found on a street in Clayton. Likely dumped by his owner -- awful...

What Our Evaluator Says: Johnny Bravo was wonderful!! Nice calm energy. Happy dog. Very affiliative. Has been hanging out with small dogs at the shelter. Did fine with handling. Happily engaged another dog (a husky).

What the Shelter Staff Says: ohnny Bravo appears to be over his kennel cough. He has gone out to a few playgroup sessions and seems to be enjoying himself.

What JB's Rescue Rep Says: Johnny Bravo deserves a nice quiet loving foster home to decompress from his past life and shelter time.

Medical: This gentleman is dealing with some chronic ear issues that will require ongoing care. May have some limited vision too. Typical arthritis issues with an older dog. Current on vaccinations and microchipped. Neutering and heartworm test pend.

Located In: at the Martinez shelter

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
