Skate

SKATE 10-Year-Old Neutered Male, Yellow Lab, 75 Pounds

Skate’s previous owner lost his business and moved into an apartment where he couldn’t have dogs, so fortunately a Lab Rescue foster home was available to save this deserving Lab. Skate is a very loving dog. He gets along with everybody and has been around a large number of people and dogs. He is not a chewer, but he has a cute habit of taking a shoe to bed with him to sleep with. He is very trainable dog and has adjusted quickly to the foster home and rules. He now sits until released for his food and is getting very good about sitting before he goes out the front door. He was an outside dog until arriving at his foster home, but quickly learned inside manners and is completely housetrained. It seems like Skate didn’t previously have a lot of affection and he has found out that he really likes it and is catching-up on 10 yrs of cuddling! He is a sweet guy and he will make someone a real buddy. He is a typical Lab and loves food, going into water, and for car rides. Skate has always had another dog around so it would be good if he can go to a home with a dog or a home where he will not be left alone for long periods of time. Skate is not compatible with cats or other small animals. He is a very healthy dog with plenty of life/energy, and is updated on his shots. Skate thrives with having clear rules/boundaries from a good pack leader and happily follows them.
