When you donate at least $250 to GGLRR, you can request a "My Mutt" photo session from Pet Food Express. Your rescued pet's photo will be taken by a professional photographer, produced as a poster, and mounted on a wall of a Pet Food Express Store. Pet Food Express pays for all photography, production, and mounting costs. For a donation of $500 or more, you can keep the poster after it has been displayed in the store. In addition, a digital copy of the photo will be given to you to keep. What a great way to help us help other Labs in need while showing off your rescued Lab! Refer to the Pet Food Express site for more information and application form to submit with your GGLRR donation receipt.

GGLRR has a store on CafePress where you can order a variety of T-shirts, sweatshirts, bumper stickers, magnets, and even a ceramic dog bowl - all with our Lab rescue logo. Please let our webmaster know if there are other products or designs you'd like to see!

The prices are reasonable and profits from our product sales go towards helping more homeless Labs. Wear or display our LabRescue logo items to encourage people to adopt a Lab-in-need.

Each of the gorgeous Labs featured in this calendar were adopted from GGLRR. There are yellow, black, and chocolate Labs, and puppies through seniors in the pages of our calendar. See them enjoying their new lives in beautiful locations around northern California.

The 11" x 11" calendar is full-color and top-quality. Professional design and printing services were donated, so all proceeds from the calendar go to helping more homeless Labs. They make great holiday gifts so order your calendars today!

Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue had a "Photos with Santa" fundraiser again this year at our December 11th Pet Fair. We were thrilled to have Nikki Weidner donating her photographic talents to this year's shoot. Nikki has several outstanding photos in our calendar and has provided adoption photos and videos for many of our rescued Labs. We also had an AWESOME Santa and many other volunteers helping make the fundraiser a success.

Kumquat Art & Home is going to be hosting a fundraiser weekend on Friday, October 15th & Saturday, October 16th.  10% of net sales will be donated to a charity of the customers' choice including GGLRR.  At Kumquat, you'll find "happy, friendly art from new and local artists".  Plan ahead for the holidays and help GGLRR at the same time!

Online ballot and contest information

Share your love of Labs and all things Oscar by participating in our online Oscar contest. The person who predicts the most winners from the 24 categories being awarded on Sunday, March 7, 2010 will win the San Francisco Getaway Grand Prize. Many other great prizes too.

The popular Doc’s Clock Bar in San Francisco’s Mission District hosts monthly “Doggie Happy Hour” fundraisers for animal rescue groups. The event on March 6th will benefit GGLRR, and includes a Silent Auction. In addition, Doc’s Clock will donate 50% of bar receipts to GGLRR during the event. Labs adopted from GGLRR will be on hand with their owners, along with a few adoptable dogs.

Our biggest expense in rescuing Labs is the vet care that most of them need, sometimes even surgeries to relieve the pain of otherwise wonderful adoptable Labs. Our veterinarian partners give us generous discounts for our many vet care bills. Now one of our most supportive vets is taking this to the next level and offering to match funds for donations raised up to $1000!

Thank you for helping us in this fundraising challenge where $1000 from our supporters was turned iinto $2000 for rescued Labs. And many thanks to Carmel Holistic Veterinary Clinic for their ongoing generosity and support of our rescue efforts!
